PART TWO - Planning and Preparation for Professional Practice Education
This part of the pack focuses in on your own professional area and service setting. It takes you through some of the steps needed in planning and preparing to take a student on practice placement. The aspects covered will be:
Examining the work environment - risk assessment: what aspects of how and where you work might carry risks which students should be prepared for
Examining the work environment - resources for learning: the wide range of resources that are available to support student learning during professional practice
Introduction and induction for students: an opportunity for you to consider your work environment from the point of view of a student, and to prepare materials to support his/her introduction and induction into the practice setting.
