Using this resource
The materials have been designed to be completed in around 130 hours. There are three parts, each covering a broad area and these divide into a number of sections. We suggest that you work through the materials in the order in which they are presented.
The materials include a number of exercises and activities for you to do. They are indicated by this symbol
These exercisesare to assist and reinforce your learning. Suggested responses to some are provided after the exercise or at the end of each section marked SR. We suggest that you keep any notes that you make in a file - on paper or on your computer. The exercises will not be assessed, but your notes will be useful when you are compiling your portfolio and reflecting on your learning.

You can watch and listen to the clips on your computer. There are instructions in the text for how to use them. Don't forget to turn on the sound or plug in your headphones! Suggested responses are provided at the end of each section and are marked SR.
At the end of each part of the resource you are asked to do some reflection on your learning. This is not assessed but it is a useful way for you to decide if you need to spend some more time on the materials and exercises.
There are suggestions throughout the resource for further reading in books, journals and websites. You can use these references to find out more about the aspects of practice education that are of most interest to you, and to deepen your understanding of the issues that you reflect on in your portfolio and reflective commentary
