July,2008. We hiked up Helvellyn, Englands third highest montain. The weather was not so kind and the final scramble up Swirral Edge, a bit of a challenge.

October,2007. Lab trip to welcome new members was struck by a huge traffic jam, caused by a lorry spilling a load of caramel in the Wallasey tunnel! Some of us nevertheless made it to Crosby beach in time to witness a lovely sunset.
