In your study-group, choose ONE passage from the play that includes a supernatural element. In the tutorial, I'd like you to give a 10 minute group presentation on the way this section could be staged. You can base this on either a production under Renaissance theatre conditions, or as a present-day production. Think especially of how you would present the supernatural element, and why.
You will have to do some independent background research on Renaissance witchcraft, ghosts, theatre props and special effects. Try The Witchcraft Sourcebook edited by Brian P. Levack (New York: Routledge, 2004), available as an e-book through the library catalogue, search the internet for 'James I' and 'Daemonology', Reginald Scot's The discoverie of Witchcraft, and books suggested in the General Reading List on Elizabethan stage and staging.
You will also need to read some critical material to figure out the range of ways in which audiences might interpret the same visual 'phenomenon'.
