NIH Image

Saves the current state of the following NIH Image program parameters:

Foreground color;
Background color; Brush size; Airbrush diameter; Color Look-Up Table mode; Color palette position and width; Text attributes, including font, size, style and justification; Extra colors; Measurement Options; Profile Plot Options; Size of image created by New command; Undo (and Clipboard) buffer size; Import Options; and most options in the Preferences dialog box.
Settings are saved in a file named 'Image Prefs' in the Preferences folder inside the System folder. You can revert to the default settings be deleting copies of this file in either the System or Preferences folders and restarting NIH Image.

You can startup NIH Image with customized settings by double-clicking on a copy of 'Image Prefs'. In this case, NIH Image will use the settings in the copy. Note, however, that Record Preferences always saves the settings in the Preferences folder.

In addition to all the NIH Image parameters, many more parameters are stored in the preferences file named 'Image SXM Prefs'. Record Preferences is functionally identical to clicking on the 'Save Prefs File' button in the SXM Preferences dialog box.
