Super-computers

The department's super-computers are used for a variety of applications. Research relating to earthquakes, mantle convection, fracture propagation, the safety of buried nuclear waste and investigations into the behaviour of the oceans. I have been involved, to a greater or lesser extent, with all of these applications.
