Team Building
The students operated in teams during the week. To get the spirit of competition going two games were started on the first night:
Bridge Building
The students were given a packet of
spaghetti, some cellotape and scissors and had to come up with a
design that allowed them to span the gap in the tables, supporting
the most weight whilst using the least spaghetti. On the left is a
nice artistic design that was a serious contender until the winner
below came along ! Introducing the log.................
We almost ran out of weights to test this!
Egg Drop
In
this exercise, teams were given 4 sheets of A4 paper to make a egg
catcher. The eggs were dropped from increasing heights until they
broke. Unfortunately the teams were so good that we ran out of drop
height at 3.75 m.
