Study Sites

Sites along the rivers Odaw, Densu, Kakum, Birim and Volta were originally visited and considered as possible locations for a one year programme of sampling to assess the status and variability of aquatic macro-invertebrate populations. A preliminary sampling of potential sites on the Odaw, Densu and Birim will be conducted during October – December 2005.

The results from the sampling will be reviewed during the first workshop due to be held in January 2006 when the full programme will be discussed and agreed.
