Insects, Sex and Parasites Research Group

Our group aims to identify and establish the importance of parasites in the evolution and ecology of animal hosts.

As agents involved in reciprocal coevolution, parasites have a particularly important place in driving evolutionary change. The work of this group concentrates on inherited parasites, as here the coevolutionary forces are most tight, due to coinheritance.
