* These modules are a ‘Linked-pair’. If a student fails the first semester
module, he/she will be allowed to compensate for that failure by sufficiently
high performance in the second semester module (but high performance in the
first will not be allowed to compensate for failure in the
second). The mark for a ‘linked pair’
is not ‘compensatable’; ie, to pass the year, students must achieve at least 40%
(not 35%) in linked pairs. For further
