Biography
I am a Tenure-Track Fellow/Lecturer at the Department of Eye and Vision Science, University of Liverpool.
Before joining Liverpool, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Biomedical Image Analysis (BioMedIA) group at the University of Oxford,
advised by Prof. Alison Noble.
I obtained my PhD in Medical Imaging Analysis from Beijing Institute of Technology,
supervised by Prof. Huiqi Li.
I have been luckly to study at the Bioinformatics Institute (BII) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore,
supervised by Prof. Li Cheng.
I was also lucky to work with Dr. Yefeng Zheng as an intern at
Tencent YouTu/Javis Lab.
Research Interest
My research is at the interdisciplinary field of medical image analysis and artificial intelligence,
aiming to develop machine learning tools to address real-world clinical problems with trustworthy AI models.
Previous works focus on data-efficient machine learning algorithm development,
such as self-supervised learning, domain adaptation, generative models,
with the medical applications of retinal images and fetal ultrasound videos.
