F100 Year 3 and FZ11 Year 4   *

You need to select 30 credits for Semester 2. You could select four modules from CHEM248, CHEM284, CHEM286 (limited numbers), CHEM316, CHEM338, CHEM342, CHEM358, CHEM382 and CHEM384 (7˝ credits each), but also available is CHEM386 (15 credits). Note that students who still have the option of taking CHEM284 should not normally choose CHEM384 without also selecting CHEM284. Students who wish to take CHEM286 should pick something else but then email John Harpur so as to join a ‘waiting list’ – please remember to specify in your email which option you would like to replace with CHEM286.

F102 Year 3   *

You need to select 15 credits for Semester 2. You could select two modules from CHEM338, CHEM342, CHEM358, CHEM382 and CHEM384 (7˝ credits each), but also available is CHEM386 (15 credits).
[An additional option for F102 Year 3 students is the level 7 FHEQ (aka ‘level M’) module CHEM452 (7˝ credits). Note: (1) The pass mark for this module is 50%; (2) If you take CHEM452 in Year 3 you will be reducing your choices in Year 4.]

FZB2 Year 3   *

You need to select 15 credits for Semester 2. You could select two modules from CHEM284, CHEM286 (limited numbers), CHEM316, CHEM358, CHEM382 and CHEM384 (7˝ credits each), but also available is CHEM386 (15 credits). Note that students who still have the option of taking CHEM284 should not normally choose CHEM384 without also selecting CHEM284. Students who wish to take CHEM286 should pick something else but then email John Harpur so as to join a ‘waiting list’ – please remember to specify in your email which option you would like to replace with CHEM286.

* Students returning from CHEM309 drop two optional modules in Semester 2.

FZBF Year 3, F103 Year 3, FZ11 Year 3 and FZ61 Year 3 students have no optional modules.

IMPORTANT: You cannot normally join or leave a module after it has been taught for more than 2 weeks.
