Yanyun Li obtained her B.Sc. degree from Xinjiang Normal University in 1996. During the period of 1997-2000, she did her M.Sc. study on physical chemistry in the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics under the direction of Prof. Chungu Xia. After obtaining the M.Sc. degree, she worked as a lecturer in Xiamen University and promoted to an associate professor in 2008. From 2003 to 2007, she had worked on her Ph.D. study in the area of asymmetric transfer hydrogenation under the supervision of Prof. Jingxing Gao in Xiamen University. In September 2011, she joined Prof. Xiao group as an Academic Visitor. Her research interest focus on the synthesis of novel designed chiral ligands and their application on asymmetric reductions.
