SPAIN’S WOMEN INTELLECTUALS, 1890-1920

Dr Kirsty Hooper, University of Liverpool

Carmen Beceiro de Pato (fl. 1887-1906)

We know comparatively little about the Galician writer Carmen Beceiro. Based in A Coruña, she was a novelist and poet, and collaborated with a range of Galician, American, and Spanish periodicals. She was one of the small group of women elected corresponding members of the Real Academia Galega on its foundation in 1906.
