Advanced Dairy Farm Management Course

The University of Liverpool will be delivering International Dairy Summer School in July 2017. The aim of the course is to help dairy development in countries which lack the skills and knowledge in advanced management practices. The summer school will deliver intensive training in advanced dairy management skills combined with farm visits and a visit to a dairy industry show in the United Kingdom. The Institute of Veterinary Science runs a specialist dairy research centre “Tesco Dairy Centre of Excellence” that works with dairy farmers across the country. It is ideally situated in the premier dairy county of Cheshire and offers best practices and innovative research solutions to the dairy Industry. Cost of Course

  • The registration fee is £1950 excluding accommodation
  • Includes the course fee, lunch and refreshments on course days, a course dinner, course materials, and farm visits.

Course features

  • The course offers an excellent opportunity to farm owners and professionals working in the dairy industry to learn from UK dairy industry good practices
  • Delegates will learn best practices derived from academic research and industry experience
  • Delegates will be given the opportunity to learn from good practice at the university farm (avg. 11000 kg milk/cow/year sold)
  • The course fee includes attendance at the Nantwich Dairy Show for all participants (event tickets and transport costs are included in the course fee)
  • The course will provide a great networking opportunity with International delegates and also with the industry leaders at the show

Note:The course has 16 spaces and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. There is an opportunity for Livestock/dairy companies to sponsor course candidates from developing countries.
