PILAS invites all postgraduates studying
Latin American issues in the UK or elsewhere
to take part in the next PILAS CONFERENCE to be held at The University of Liverpool
on the 31st, 1st, and 2nd of February, 2007.
Postgraduates working in all areas of the social sciences on
issues related to Latin America are very
welcome
to present.
If you wish to attend without presenting then please don't
hesitate to come along.
The registration and attendance to this conference is Free!
There is no cost for
attending but we cannot afford to cover costs for
travel and accommodation.
For this conference we expect to have students not only from
many British Universities but also from many other
countries. We specifically encourage people living and studying in
Latin American universities to join us in this great event. We
want to have a friendly environment for sharing our findings and
experiences doing research about Latin America as well as
the opportunity for many discussions involving diverse opinions.
University of Liverpool has a long tradition and reputation
in researching and teaching about Latin America through the
Institute of Latin American Studies and academic staff in
other departments.
Also, Liverpool has been named the
Capital of Culture 2008, so it is a particularly special moment
for the city with a lot of interesting activities occurring. You will really enjoy this beautiful
place.
Don’t miss the chance to be part of this interesting event
organized by young researchers in Latin American issues!
