| The two graphs above show the age-sex structure for the rate of gonorrhea infections in the USA (top) and AIDS deaths in South Africa (bottom). Note the similar shape of the graphs, with both gonorrhea and AIDS being more prevalent in young people (who are sexually active) and also both diseases affect women slightly more than men. | ||
