Persistent Contaminants

  1. Mercury is a particular problem in the Mersey and we have a separate site on all aspects of Mercury as an environmental contaminant
  2. There are many different persistent organic contaminants which contaminate the Mersey system. Organic Contaminants (Please accept my apologies - this information is not yet available)
