Amphipoda
The Amphipoda show some similarity to the isopods, but there are important
differences between the groups. One obvious difference is that they show
lateral rather than dorsoventral* flattening of the body.
Gammarids, like the Gammarus shown here are typical amphipods,
there being both fresh water and marine species. |
