Isopoda

The Isopoda are a large group of mainly marine crustaceans, though some live in fresh water, and a few, like the wood lice are terrestrial.

Woodlice are the only large group of crustaceans which are fully terrestrial. Isopods are characterised by their dorsoventrally* flattened bodies and their lack of a carapace.
